The winter storm’s late arrival in the Triangle meant that roads were still dry in many places as the sun came up Wednesday. But the snow came, and forecasters say anywhere from 3 to 7 inches could fall in central North Carolina by day’s end.
Wake County prosecutor Howard Cummings told jurors that Donovan Jevonte Richardson should be convicted of the first-degree murders of longtime friends Arthur Lee Brown and David Eugene McKoy because they were killed in 2014 during a night-time burglary and robbery in Fuquay-Varina. But Richardson’s attorney, Joseph Zeszotarski, told jury members that the fatal shootings were not premeditated or deliberate. He described the shootings as a “robbery gone bad.”
